Joe Tobin, AHIT Certified Home Inspector

My name is Joe Tobin and I own and operate Bayview Inspection Services. My family moved to Lake Havasu City in 1979 from Marblehead, Massachusetts when I was 5 years old. I attended grade school, junior high and high school here in Lake Havasu City.

Immediately after High School, I was hired as a Firefighter/EMT for the Desert Hills Fire Department, just north of Lake Havasu City. Soon after, I became a Paramedic and was eventually hired by the Lake Havasu City Fire Department. I am currently in my 19th year with Lake Havasu City Fire as a Fire Engineer/Paramedic.

Not only do I have deep roots in the community, but I am also active in volunteer work in our beautiful city. Since 2014 I have served on the London Bridge Days Committee and I’m the current Chair person for the London Bridge Days Parade. I also serve actively as a volunteer with the Lake Havasu Firefighters Charities to raise funds and host events for our City’s youth.

I am a proud supporter of our local Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce and 2013 graduate of the Leadership Lake Havasu course.

How it started…

In the 25+ years of my fire service career, I’ve been involved in building safety evaluations and fire prevention programs which have given me insight into all aspects of building construction, fire suppression systems, and safety hazard identification. I decided to take those years of experience and training and put them into service for our community once again.

In 2016, I started down the path of providing quality home inspections when I graduated from the AHIT (American Home Inspectors Training) Master Home Inspector Training Course and became an associate member of ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors). I then quickly fulfilled my apprenticeship with Thomas Denton, owner of Zero Scope Home Inspections in Kingman, Arizona
